Privacy policy

This page is maintained by the Strategic Pulse team to explain how we handle personal data.

Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller for Strategic Pulse is:

David Lilley

Phone: 01246 888 928

What data we collect

We only collect the information that is needed to deliver our 360-degree strategic assessment service.

  • Contact enquiries: full name, email address, phone number, company name, and the message you send us.
  • Assessment responses: your role (executive, board member, or employee), optional name and email address, and the answers you give to the 13-pillar survey — including scores and any written feedback.
  • Technical data: standard server logs generated by the hosting platform to keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as health information, political opinions, or religious beliefs.

How we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange strategic assessments.
  • To create and manage assessment links for client organisations.
  • To collect and aggregate 360-degree survey responses into executive reports.
  • To group open-text feedback into themed insights using AI, solely for the benefit of the commissioning organisation.
  • To keep the platform secure and to investigate or prevent misuse.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Contract and legitimate interests: running assessments for the organisation that has commissioned the survey.
  • Consent: when you contact us through the website or agree to receive follow-up communications.
  • Legal obligation: keeping records where required by law or to defend legal claims.

Who has access to your data?

Access is limited to the Strategic Pulse admin team and the authorised representatives of the organisation that commissioned the assessment. Individual responses are not shown to other respondents; only aggregated scores and grouped qualitative themes are reported.

We use a secure cloud backend to store and process data. The provider is bound by appropriate technical and organisational measures and does not use your data for its own purposes.

How long we keep your data

We keep contact enquiries and assessment data only for as long as needed to deliver the service, support the commissioning organisation, and meet any legal or accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights have been breached.

To exercise any of these rights, contact David Lilley at david@theuniquenetwork.com.

Cookies and analytics

The site does not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. Essential cookies and local storage may be used to keep you signed in as an admin and to maintain the security of the service.

Security

We protect data through encrypted connections, access controls, row-level security in the database, and regular review of who can access assessment results. We also encourage commissioning organisations to share survey links only with intended participants.
